Based on the findings of a focus area project at Master of Lighting Design at AAU CPH where it was investigated how well Luxion KeyShot works as a visualization tool for lighting designers, a series of how to videos has been created to help interested lighting designers to get started with KeyShot. The videos are split into the following subjects:

  1. Geometry import and setup
  2. HDRI lighting
  3. Area lights
  4. Point lights
  5. IES lights
  6. Animation
  7. Material adjustments
  8. Output settings
  9. Workflow tips
  10. Additional features

All videos are available below.

The purpose of these videos are to give individuals full insight in the process of using KeyShot for lighting design. Additionally, the videos also serves as an inspiration for the planning of KeyShot workshops for professional lighting designers and lighting design students.

A simple 3D room model is used in most of the videos. If you would like to follow along at home, the model can be downloaded from here: Get access to Onshape room model
